June marks the start of summer in many regions, but it also brings perfect weather in Central Asia, the greenest landscapes in the Himalayas, and great wildlife viewing in parts of Africa. While some tropical areas enter monsoon season, others offer pleasant escapes, especially if you know where to go. Here’s your curated guide to the best international destinations to visit in June.

Excellent to Visit in June

Georgia
Early summer is ideal with warm temperatures, lush valleys, and clear skies over the Caucasus Mountains. Perfect for exploring Tbilisi, Kakheti wine region, and Kazbegi.

Armenia
Sunny and mild across most regions — excellent for monastery visits, mountain drives, and lake escapes like Lake Sevan. A culturally rich time to visit.

Azerbaijan
Dry and warm in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, with excellent road trip weather. The Caspian coast, Sheki, and Gobustan are perfect for early summer exploration.

Kazakhstan
June offers long days, lush landscapes, and pleasant weather in Almaty, Charyn Canyon, and mountain lakes. It’s a great time for nature lovers and road trips.

Kenya
